aosid's Diaryland Diary

we found a park and sat under the pavilion and talked about nothing, just like we always did. there was a girl spinning a hula hoop (really tricky looking stuff) while the lightning fell around us. she owned the world for those few minutes but i didn't work up the nerve to tell her. the talk shifted to our romantic mishaps, just like it always did. she told me about her disintegration and it was so much like mine that i had to tell her. i hadn't shared the details of my paranoid little drama with another living soul, but if i could tell anyone, it was her. we were both waiting on our dear john letters, but that was too somber, so we talked about dreams instead. those were similar too - thrilling new islands (a little disappointing) in our seas of easy devotion. we're steering for easy summers, but someone caught our eyes when we weren't looking.
