but it's not clear what i'm free of.
there are still the desires
and the dreams
(last night was indiana jones.
we were bold and glorious)
but i guess i can yearn
without being miserable?
it's a novel idea.
and there is also this idea
that maybe i can take a page
that i won't be betraying anyone
(not even myself, finally)
by living up
to my pristine ring finger
